Research
The BYU Pre-Med Research Team focuses on helping undergraduate students engage in meaningful research opportunities in a variety of fields, independently, with professors or departments, and through internship programs. Research is an essential part of applications to medical schools and becoming involved in the academic community of medicine, and BYU aims to help students find opportunities that connect with their interests, needs, and prospects. From a variety of backgrounds, our Research Team has experience working in faculty labs, publishing independent studies, applying for academic research internships, and becoming involved in medical publications.
We have resources available to find open opportunities on campus with professors and offer personal guidance to apply for research positions and determine the best fit for your interests. Additionally, the Research Team helps provide guidance in personal and independent publications for local journals, as well as academic sources for peer review. Please feel free to reach out and contact us if you have any questions about how to get involved in a lab, begin your own research, or find local opportunities for involvement. We are always happy to meet with you to discuss your personal path to research involvement.
